Rig Verification Surveyor (Global)

ENTRION is a leading drilling and subsea services company delivering Vendor Surveillance Services, Offshore Inspection & Maintenance Services, and Special Periodic Survey (SPS) Services.  We are headquartered in Houston with offices in Kristiansand, Gdańsk, Aberdeen, Singapore, and Macaé and our clients include drilling contractors, shipyards, and producers.

In response to an increase in activities in our rig Inspection & Maintenance and SPS business areas, we are seeking subsea engineers for rig verification with over 10 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Check, verify & identify changes and modifications if any, on well control and drilling equipment. Verify that any modifications have been designed, installed, tested, and validated through necessary industrial codes and documentation followed up management of change process.
  • Check & verify well control & drilling equipment schematic, general arrangement, block diagram & etc. drawings information up to date and implemented latest revision of Manufacturer’s Data Book & updated changes on certifications of service documentation with necessary management of change process. Implement comments if changes have been validated by the OEM, and what, if any, actions are outstanding and justify comments through industrial codes and standards.
  • Check & verify well control & drilling equipment documentation updates including, rig operational procedures, and preventive maintenance management system have been implemented.
  • Check & verify that well control & drilling equipment control system software have been designed, installed, tested as per OEM’s design criteria’s with guidelines of industry code s and standards.
  • Check & verify all control software documentation information up to date and implemented latest revision of Manufacturer’s Data Book & updated changes on certifications of service documentation with necessary management of change process. Comment if changes have been validated by the OEM, and what, if any, actions are outstanding and justify comments through industrial codes and standards.
  • Review drilling unit’s operational management system documentation & well control manuals to establish if any changes have been made to the well control & drilling equipment changes to reflect operational aspects.
  • Check and verify that the well control & drilling equipment has not been compromised or damaged from drilling operations.
  • Check and verify that well control & drilling equipment will operate in the conditions in which it will be used.
  • Maintain an updated list of any non-compliance to applicable operator’s, drilling contractor’s and industry codes & standards.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective procedures to correct deficiencies.

Travel

  • International travel required for offshore work worldwide.
  • Entrion will arrange for required Visas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years as a Subsea Engineer with an engineering degree or 15 years of related experience in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Knowledge of industry codes & standards (API, ASME & etc.), class codes & standards (DNV, ABS, & etc.), governing requirements and relevant design codes (BSEE, Norsok, etc.)
